I picked this book off the shelf at a local coffee shop to impress my date based on its title. Turns out my date wasn’t all that into it because the book was missing emoji’s and abbreviated words and keys to text. So, I bought this it because I wrote in it by accident and didn’t think it was fair to put it back on the shelf with my scribble in it. Why am I telling you this story? Because, this book is now sitting in my car to be used every single day before work. It helps me put my focus in me while I’m doing something I find difficult to do. It’s helping me find focus and clarity on my goals and how I do mentally in the meantime at work.

This book is my reminder of why I am here and how I can be more of all the joy I desire to experience. It’s very refreshing to still find such creativity and inspiration in the poetry. The journal sections are well structured and are result driven. I’m tempted to get her entire bundle if they ever go on sale. But then, therapy is not as budget friendly as these books.

  3. Sediqa (store manager)

The poems lead you to a innermost depth inside and sneak in a little wisdom that cannot be denied…then, the journal sections get a scalpel out and cut you deep deeeeeeep inside, intricately and delicately expose your innermost beauty.

If you can’t tell a person they need mental help and need to get their isht together, get them this book. It’s a journal but with inspiring poetry.

Never before has a journal been so calming and, yet sooooo fierce in all the right ways cutting through your soul! I’m looking forward to the author’s audio of these poems as she’s promised on her insta post!

This book travels with me everywhere! It’s a conversation piece and an easy way for me to keep calm and inspired! I am part of several mom groups and like to pick a fresh topic that is a bit refreshing. I wish to have this book with the poems and the explanation only without the journal and affirmation parts to gift to others (wink-wink – if the author is reading this).

The selections of Buddhist teachings and the poems written by author are grouped by themes of mindfulness, purpose, forgiveness, balance, joy, and impermanence with an excellent and down-to-the-point explanations and journaling prompts. I’m a Christian who appreciates Buddhism. I am also new to an appreciation of poetry and journaling. I’ve used this book alongside Bible reading to pray and contemplate. This collection has enriched my spiritual life so much that I have given a number of copies as gifts.

I was gifted this book when I was in rehab after a complicated surgery that had caused severe depression and a prolonged bed-rest. I found these poems by themselves very expressive and relevant to my pain…I found the journaling and daily prompts very helpful and possible to do. The journaling prompts are not your typical journaling sessions, they are designed to bring awareness and healing simultaneously. And I appreciate that.

I got this as a coffee table for my office waiting room because of its cover pics and title. It was recommended to me by a friend who works with the author. But, then I realized that it’s actually a journal and helpful to use for my clients and my employees. It’s an enlightening blend of therapy and mindfulness; this book is a beacon of hope.

I am not a poet. The only poems I used to know start with Roses are red, violets are blue… The poems in this book are the original work by the author inspired by the buddhist teachings. They are healing, inspiring, and lesson-teaching poems but disguised as your well thought-out poems.
I bought this book originally as a gift for my daughter’s going away to college gift. She forgot to take it with her on the last day. My wife and I started to use it and since then, given copies of this book to a at least 10 people who find great comfort, healing, relevance, and compassion after reading this collection and doing the journal – the work.
